SAN ANTONIO, October 2013 – The RK Group, a top San Antonio-based event planning and catering company recently moved its Illusions Rental and Designs (IRD) division to a new location. The new 48,000 square feet space includes a larger showroom, additional meeting space, offices and room to grow. The new address at 1107 AT&T Parkway, Suite 111 is located near the AT&T Center with easy access from the highway and is the first move away from corporate headquarters for the 67 year-old company.
“We are always looking ahead to the next big thing and how we can provide our clients with the newest rental products for their special events,” said Travis Kowalski, director of operations, Illusions Rentals and Designs. “This move solidifies our commitment to offer exceptional service and continue to grow our business throughout Texas.”
The growth of IRD’s partners and clients has fueled the expansion and need for the company’s move. The larger space allows IRD to service new and existing clients with an expansive inventory of rental equipment as well as build custom pieces that include bars, tables and décor items that can be personalized to fit the look and style of any event. The continued growth of IRD’s sister companies under The RK Group umbrella has provided a strong base with an increase in the number of events serviced.
Earlier this year, the Texas Historical Commission awarded The RK Group the Texas Treasure Business Award for its exceptional contributions toward economic growth to the state. Current clients JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort and Spa, The Argyle Club, HEB Grocery Company, San Antonio Country Club, Valero Texas Open, USAA and others have fueled the growth for IRD and the need for more space.

We can easily construct custom bars, décor and props for events as well. Its important for us to consistently provide top notch service and stay ahead of the trends throughout our product lines.”
Flair Floral, a sister company of IRD, has also moved from The RK Group’s home base to the new location. Also experiencing steady growth, the Flair team often collaborates with IRD on the same projects so it was efficient for the two groups to share space. A third business new to the San Antonio event industry that often partners with The RK Group, J&S Audio Visual, is also sharing the AT&T Parkway address.
